They say that short people maintain great perspective on life because they are always looking up. As the shortest recruiter in history, I can only confirm this statement! My name is Tanya Behrendt. I look after the Performance Marketing Portfolio at one of South Africa’s leading digital recruitment agencies – Recruit Digital. It’s a position that allows me the privilege of rubbing shoulders with digital marketing industry leaders and connecting them with talented candidates.
So, Why Red & Yellow?
I started my studies in 2011 at Stellenbosch University in Social work, where I changed direction after graduating and did a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing.
Recruit Digital has given me the opportunity to combine both – helping people in a professional manner to achieve the next step on their career path.
As a recruiter, I am fascinated by the world that Digital Marketing has unlocked for me. In an ever-changing environment, there isn’t enough room to know everything, but it’s always good to start somewhere. I see CVs and interview candidates from the digital realm on a daily basis. After a year and a half of seeing the ins and outs of the industry, I feel it’s time to throw myself into the deep end to see where my candidates come from.
Getting a deeper understanding of the methods behind digital marketing will be beneficial to my work-life on many levels, so I decided to do Red & Yellow’s Digital Marketing Course to give me a real how-to understanding of the digital space.
The Digital Marketing Course from Red & Yellow is where I will start giving the practical knowledge I have built up in the industry a more theoretical backbone. As a Recruiter, I believe this will help me to not only talk the talk, but also enable me to implement the digital knowledge that I will learn on the course.
I am extremely excited to get a firm grasp of different marketing spheres whilst continuing to work in this industry. I’d like to invite all of you, to experience this journey through my eyes and words.
