Mid-Weight Graphic Designer

A prominent fintech company is looking for a talented Mid-Weight Graphic Designer to make their mark and enhance their marketing material.
You’ll have the opportunity to refine the branding and visual strategy by building and maintaining the in-house style guide and creating new sales and marketing materials to be used across multiple communication channels. This will include optimizing the digital design experience across online platforms such as the website, promotional mailers, system notifications as well as social and paid media. Ideally you’ll also have some experience in designing for print, such as flyers, brochures, pull up banners and other marketing collateral.
You will form part of the marketing department reporting directly to the Marketing Manager. There’s potential overlap with UX/UI, front end development and business development, so an interest or experience in any of those fields would be beneficial. This job is based in Claremont.
ABOUT YOU:
You’re a fun, sharp and self-motivated person. You have an eye for clean design and are passionate about improving user experience.
You’re not only a Photoshop whizz but also have an in-depth understanding of the latest web design trends and technologies. You will have at least 4 years work experience at an agency or in a similar role and ideally a relevant qualification in digital or graphic design. The salary is R30k.
Some requirements of the position are:
- Excellent design skills with a strong portfolio
- Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and other visual design tools
- Experience working with cross-functional teams using collaborative design and workflow tools
- Understanding of HTML and CSS advantageous
- Experience with WordPress advantageous
- Competency in Repro and preparation for print media advantageous
